Position: Senior Legal Counsel

Experience: 10 – 12+ years


We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the legal team of IGT Solutions (IT/ITES business). This position requires the candidate to work on all legal affairs of the company, day to day legal matters /issues arising in business, providing legal support to other teams

Act as an effective guardian of the organization and facilitate business, strategize and bring innovation in the legal functioning and development, successfully improvising from time to time. The successful candidate will have excellent drafting and negotiating capabilities, be able to draft documents and business documents such as vendor/ customer contracts, other letters, draft and review legal documents, letters, etc. and have clear legal concepts such as Indemnity/ Limitation of Liability provisions, etc.; The candidate will need to ensure legal compliance and work on standardization, enable risk mitigation for the business and operations and work on limiting exposure to the business by providing legal and corporate advisory from time to time. The candidate shall also be responsible for managing external relations with outside counsels and legal firms wherever necessary. Responsibilities:

• Excellent Contract Drafting and Negotiation Skills; • Legal drafting of letters/ legal documents;

• Legal Responses and Legal Advisory to other departments of the company;

Setting up internal governance policies and manage the impact of external issues;

• Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action;

• Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically and help the relevant department;
Mitigation of the risk, lead out of court settlements with clients;

• Supervise and enable decision making of the company based on ethics and integrity;

• Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders;

• Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsels, clients, etc.)

• Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive

performance from other team members;

• Draft agreements, negotiate contracts and minimize risks and maximize legal rights and contractual entitlements and benefits for the company;

• Meet legal objectives; and be available during critical times of the business;

• Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and other functional areas of the business and assist the Head of Legal in leading strategic matters/ projects of the company;

Keep abreast of legislative changes and trends in corporate legal industry and those trends that affect business.
